This online training course provided youth with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to design and coordinate an advocacy campaign for the protection of pollinators. It helped them to identify key demands, who to reach out to, and how to successfully communicate their message to influence positive change. We empowered youth to become pollinator champions. The entire training was based on experiential learning and non-formal education and included a wide array of activities in the virtual space. It is grounded in generating actionable ideas fit for real-life situations.
I supported the development of training workshops and designed the part focusing on practical youth advocacy of the course. Toward this end I have recruited guest speakers, developed a work board on Miro, designed practical youth advocacy sessions, and facilitated multiple sessions during the training course.
